The Perfect Finger Lakes Retreat

There aren’t enough stars to award to the Stratton creek inn! This is our second time in two months visiting and we look forward to more. It’s a great location( just minutes from Ithaca) but it’s so tranquil and peaceful.We’ve stayed in “Frank “and “Della “suites so far and both were outstanding! Next time we’re trying out “Mattie”! But the best of all is the wonderful innkeepers! Every need is met before we even thought of it. Truly a great experience!

Really gorgeous inn from the turn of the 20th century. Filled with beautiful chestnut woodwork, gleaming wood floors, impressive staircase, each room elegantly furnished. Clean, bright space. A traditional elegant dining room that takes you back 100 years. The land is magical, and there is a barn that simultaneously traditional and contemporary--I could imagine a hundred people gathered in there for a celebration but in the structure and basement of the barn you can still feel the labor and effort that went into keeping a working farm. This Inn would be great for an individual "retreat", one room at a time, and equally great "selling out" to a family or group of friends planning a reunion or celebration. Highly recommend.

The Stratton Creek Inn exceeded our expectations. We’ve stayed in B & Bs and Inns from the west coast to the east coast and the Stratton Creek Inn stands out. Tucked down in a little valley with a tall trees and a red barn, the location was idyllic. The rooms named after each of the Snyder family children were luxurious and comfortable. We will definitely return to this peaceful place.

This beautifully appointed in has been lovingly redecorated by new owners, with a keen eye for aesthetics, comfort, and a thoughtful respect for historic detail. The setting is quiet and beautiful, and just a few minutes from Ithaca. Though we didn't use it, the barn venue is gorgeous and inspiring. Highly recommended!

A friend and I had stopped by for the Open House on Saturday. The first thing that struck me was how spacious the grounds were. Once inside the house, I appreciated the melding of old and new. The owners have highlighted the original features of the house while incorporating modern conveniences. What impressed me the most was how timeless and appropriate the decor was. And it all comes together in a very comfortable and inviting manner. The barn is spacious and sturdy. I noticed it was well preserved. I can see it used for a variety of gatherings and celebrations. The whole place is like a hideaway, yet it is not far from Ithaca. I give Stratton Creek Inn 5 stars for the comfortable and inviting premises, the friendly staff, and the exciting potential of the barn and grounds.

A wonderful stay! Comfy bed, beautiful furnishings, delicious breakfast and lots of thoughtful details. We were a little concerned about a remote location when we booked, then found the Inn easy to find and a pleasant drive from Corning while being even closer to beautiful Ithaca. Its quiet location and lovely grounds provided peace and tranquility. Highly recommend!
